Description

• Help organizations move to the cloud while advocating for value. • Fulfill an engineering role in project-based engagements with clients. • Deploy cloud environments based on agreed-upon architectures. • Assist clients through application integration phase to go-live. • Participate in architecture design and reviews, pre-sales calls, and internal DevOps initiatives. • Work on client projects like greenfield deployments, migrations, app modernization, etc. • Follow best practices during implementations for security, compliance, etc. • Represent Rapidscale’s capabilities to prospective and existing customers. • Provide technical solutions and troubleshooting during implementations. • Work with Managed Services for a smooth transition of client environments. • Help expand the PS team’s capabilities by offering technical training and support. • Identify areas for improvement in technical processes and recommend solutions. • Participate in internal Google Cloud R&D to influence new tools and automation. • Collaborate with the Platform team on automation and tooling.

Requirements

• Minimum Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline and 4+ years’ experience in a related field. • Requires 4+ years of experience performing infrastructure deployments, configuration, automation, and design on the Google Cloud platform. • IaC-first approach to deploying resources on Google Cloud using Terraform. • Strong experience migrating workloads from on-prem or other clouds to Google Cloud using native Google Cloud tools. • Strong understanding and hands-on experience with Google Cloud and hybrid networking. • Strong understanding of IAM on Google Cloud. • Ability to programmatically build infrastructure automation solutions (Python). • Scripting and API querying experience (e.g. Google Cloud CLI, Bash). • Experience building CI/CD pipelines supporting infrastructure and application deployments. • Experience deploying and managing containerized workloads on Kubernetes, GKE, Cloud Run. • Google Cloud Professional Architect certificate at a minimum.
