Description

• Oversee design of all items in the relevant product categories, from initial concept through approval, • Drive calendar to ensure all deadlines and key dates are met, • Manage project schedules of Design team consisting of 2 designers, • Manage and develop work product of junior designers, • Manage production of sketches and renderings and present to relevant stakeholders, • Review of factory produced drawings for accuracy, • Manage the specification of all hardware. • Maintain a strong working knowledge of material and process technologies applicable to new product development, • Communicate effectively with internal and external resources to ensure new product development success, • Evaluate design prototypes and ensure accuracy of work prior to final production, • Other related tasks

Requirements

• Experience in the home furniture industry required, • Degree in Design required, • 8 year professional experience required, 3 years of which were in a managerial role, • Strong project and time management skills, • Very organized and detail oriented, • Analytical and curious, • Must be an expert in Solidworks and Adobe Suite, • Experience with artistic renderings, CAD models, 3D modeling, physical models, and written reports, • Experienced in designing to a budget and have a working knowledge of the cost implications of the materials and manufacturing techniques used in the execution of your designs, • Team player capable of working cross-functionally
