• Analyzes everyday financial activities and provides advice and guidance to upper management on future financial plans. • Provides financial reports and interprets financial information to managerial staff while recommending further courses of action. • Advises on investment activities and provides strategies that the company should take. • Maintains the financial health of the organization. • Analyzes costs, pricing, variable contributions, sales results and compares the company’s actual performance to business plans. • Develops trends and projections for the company’s finances. • Conducts reviews and evaluations for cost-reduction opportunities. • Manages the preparation of the company’s budget. • Liaises with auditors to ensure appropriate monitoring of company finances. • Corresponds with various departments, discussing company plans and agreeing on future paths to be taken. • Hires, coaches, and develops staff. • Assists in onboarding and training new team members. • Encourages continuing professional education and development. • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics • 5+ year’s progressive experience in the financial sector • Ability to synthesize large quantities of complex data into actionable information • Ability to work and effectively communicate with senior-level business partners • Highly proficient in Excel (e.g., pivot tables, vlookup, sumifs) • CPA license preferred • Strong verbal and written communication skills • Solid understanding of financial statistics and accounting principles
