📋 Description

• Oversee and manage all phases of employment-related litigation and arbitration matters, including pre-litigation disputes, discovery, motions, trial and arbitration preparation, hearings, settlement negotiations, and appellate work. • Collaborate with the internal legal team, as well as business leaders, to develop arbitration and litigation strategies that align with company goals and mitigate risk. • Engage, manage, and direct outside counsel in employment litigation and arbitration matters, ensuring cost-effective, efficient, and favorable outcomes. • Conduct and oversee internal investigations related to employment matters. • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, particularly as they pertain to arbitration agreements and employment law compliance. • Work closely with various departments, including HR, finance, and operations, to provide strategic legal counsel on employment-related initiatives, arbitration matters, and dispute resolution strategies.

🎯 Requirements

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school. • Active bar membership in good standing in the state where the company is located or ability to obtain in-house counsel licensure. • 10+ years of experience in employment litigation, arbitration, and dispute resolution, including single plaintiff claims, wage and hour disputes, and class actions. • Expertise in employment law, arbitration, and regulatory compliance. • Strong understanding of arbitration procedures, including arbitration clauses, selection of arbitrators, and strategies for successful dispute resolution. • Experience managing outside counsel and overseeing legal budgets in both litigation and arbitration contexts. • Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to present legal issues clearly and concisely to non-legal stakeholders. • Ability to work independently, as well as collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. • Resourceful self-starter who enjoys wearing multiple hats and digging into challenging projects, big and small. • Ability to seek pragmatic solutions to mitigate risks, taking into account commercial considerations. • Ability to develop litigation and arbitration standardized processes and procedures from initial complaint to resolution. • Positive attitude, and strong work ethic. • Willingness to travel as required
