📋 Description

• Manages and ensures cost, availability, innovation, and quality per BU requirements • Ensures cost and quality targets are met using advanced strategies • Works under limited supervision and direction • Exercises substantial decision-making authority • Understands supplier market dynamics and uses it in sourcing strategy • Performs long term and strategic planning • Ensures alignment and anticipates changes in supply market • Designs advanced sourcing strategies for commodities • Serves as main interface between procurement and business units • Selects key suppliers and manages critical relationships • Oversees negotiations and awards • Sets strategic goals and KPIs for commodity categories • Provides guidance on proposal evaluation, negotiation and administration • Reviews procurement status with senior management • Develops cost reduction programs with total cost impact emphasis • Establishes budget specifications

🎯 Requirements

• Four-year college degree in materials management, business administration, supply chain or related field • Ten (10)+ years of experience in diverse buying activities, including two years of supervisory experience • Experience in categories: PCBA and Components; Electro-Mechanical Assemblies; Metals; OEM; and/or Indirect Spaces • Knowledge of proposal evaluation and proven ability to negotiate effectively • Ability to provide workable solutions to subcontractor/customer challenges • Demonstrated leadership ability • Strong written and oral communication skills for interface with all levels of management • Continuing education in procurement trends, transit requirements, etc. is expected • Materials management certificate desirable • NAPM courses and CPM are desirable • Occasional travel may be required
