• The Company • Founded in 2009, Cubic Telecom has grown to become one of the leading providers of connectivity solutions and analytics services that help vehicle and IoT device manufacturers manage and grow revenue streams. • Fast paced, smart, ambitious, and continually seeking new, ideas. • That’s us, is it you? • At Cubic you will find an environment filled with energy and collaboration, where we set out every day to improve not just the world, but ourselves and each other. • We believe in leadership that supports empowerment and responsibility, while recognising and developing leadership qualities across Our Team. • Together we bring out the best in each other. • So, whether you’re interested in joining us as an individual contributor, manager, senior leader – or someone who aspires to growing into a leadership role – we look for people who are results focused, empathetic, visionary, empowering, and who ‘champion’ our cultures and values. • The Role • We are looking for a results driven .Net Team Lead who is comfortable leading a high-performance development team in a fast paced, flexible environment with a variety of new and ongoing projects. • The individual will work on designing and developing market-leading products. • You will be supporting, updating and migrating existing solutions critical to the business and guiding their evolution by bringing the technology up to date using cutting-edge frameworks, tools and principles. • Responsibilities • Lead a build a high performing team and provide continuous coaching, mentoring and technical guidance to the team • Manage the employee growth and performance conversations. • Guided by cascaded company goals where you collaboratively agree business and career development goals aligned to performance appraisal process • Lead and drive the development of .NET based applications • Validate requirements of the business needs and initiate organisation process improvements • Ensure the Agile development process is facilitated and managed and that projects are worked to an overall release timeline for customers but follow principles of transparency, inspection and adaption • Set designs and standards and enforce across all applications, in coordination with the Architecture functions • Accountable for coding, bug verification, unit testing and integration testing • Efficiently maintain, support and/or enhance existing systems to a high quality • Conduct meetings on software designs and applications and code reviews • Research, document and troubleshoot related technical problems • Mentor and support junior and mid-level developers through code reviews, pair programming or other methods as deemed necessary in a collaborative environment • Interact with both clients and internal stake holders across varied projects • Working with organisation stakeholders, including leadership group, on resolving major incidents and escalations • Document and record tasks and activity through Jira or other support tools used by the organization requirements • What is in it for you • This role offers you the opportunity to build your leadership skills by helping us steer a group of high performing engineers working to exceed the expectations of our clients and gives you exposure to state of the art technology in the form of our cloud-based microservice platform. • Cubic is growing fast and provides excellent opportunity for personal growth and development.

Requirements

• Minimum of 7 years’ relevant professional experience developing and delivering enterprise level systems as a software developer • Minimum of 2 years’ experience as technical lead of a team of developers • Demonstrate strong people skills with the ability to influence technical discussions • Ability to lead conversations with internal and external customers to better understand requirements and prioritise tasks • Deep understanding of object oriented design and related concepts, software design patterns and the SOLID principles of object oriented design • Experience developing software solutions using C#, the .NET Framework 4.x and Web API • Excellent knowledge of how the web works conceptually, including but not limited to technologies and concepts like HTTP, REST, SOAP/RESTful web services, WCF, OWIN & Katana, JSON, asynchronous processing • Good knowledge of Azure components – virtual machines, cloud services, web apps, web jobs, traffic manager, SQL Azure • Extensive knowledge of design patterns, solutions architecture best practices • Experience using TFS and Git source control systems • Excellent knowledge of concepts like inversion of control and dependency injection, and experience using containers like Autofac or others • Excellent knowledge of testing concepts such as unit testing and mocking, and experience writing unit tests using frameworks like NUnit, xUnit, Moq or similar • Previous exposure to software projects that were implemented in a µServices architecture, domain driven design, event sourcing and CQRS • Familiarity with software development practices such as agile software development, continuous integration, continuous delivery and/or test driven development • You live by Agile software delivery and have a proven track record scaling teams to deliver via Scrum, Kanban or generally Lean Agile practices • Strong verbal and written communication skills • Previous exposure to Microsoft Azure, Service Fabric, Azure ServiceBus or NServiceBus • Previous exposure to Redis and NoSQL databases like CosmosDB, MongoDB or others
