Coding Data Quality Auditor

Description
• Responsible for auditing medical records to identify and submit ICD-10 codes • Must ensure compliance with State and Federal regulations • Proficient in abstraction and assignment of accurate medical codes • Knowledge of coding guidelines and regulations required • Ability to support coding judgment and decisions • Adhere to project deadlines and directives • Act in ethical manner under HIPAA's Privacy and Security rules • Performs other related duties as required
Requirements
• CPC (Certified Professional Coder) or CCS-P (Certified Coding Specialist-Physician) required • Minimum of 3 years recent experience in medical record documentation review, diagnosis coding, and/or auditing • Minimum of 3 years of experience with ICD codes required • Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office products and industry standard coding applications • Experience with Medicare and/or Commercial and/or Medicaid Risk Adjustment preferred • CRC (Certified Risk Adjustment Coder) preferred • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills • Demonstrated communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
