• Manage and grow Cepheid business within assigned geography for customer and prospect accounts • Drive multi-departmental sale from introduction to closure and implementation • Negotiate and manage contracts with Key Accounts • Introduce and develop new testing in POC • Develop demand for, and adoption of, new assays and instrumentation • Work closely with internal resources to develop and implement customer-specific sales strategies • Develop and deliver presentations and proposals, host and assist with product shows
• Bachelor's, Master's or Doctoral degree in Microbiology, Molecular Biology, Oncology, Virology, Economics or similar • 2+ years of relevant work experience in a sale position within hospital and private lab environment • Strong track record of sales success, specifically in selling high value products • Skilled using a CRM application(s) such as Salesforce.com or others • Fluent in German and English • Previous experience in solution selling/consultative sales approach is a plus • Expertise with demand creation and multi-departmental hospital sales is a plus • Customer focus and relationship building skills • Outstanding presentation and negotiation skills • Strong oral and written communications skills • Ability to work independently and in a team
