Description

• Automating all processes, to the extent possible, for managing the enterprise cloud infrastructure • Updating our entire fleet of manually built (“click-ops”) Windows and Linux systems with Infrastructure-as-Code replacements • Consolidating dispersed services and applications provided by our fleet into fewer servers/systems thereby reducing our on-premises footprint • Excellent communications skills and customer service attitude • Organization and analysis skills, sophisticated problem-solving ability • Able to communicate effectively with peer groups • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and deliver continuous results and improvements • Performs well with light direction, input, and feedback • Functions well within a team • Trains and cross-trains staff • Designs and maintains automation solutions creatively and securely • Supports Identity Management platforms • Performs advanced configuration of servers and desktops and devices • Performs advanced troubleshooting of virtual compute platforms • Monitors systems and assists in performing corrective action or remediation • Focuses on scripting and automation development with an emphasis on infrastructure resiliency • Designs and maintains compute solutions derived from architecture standards and design template • Proactively identify tools and processes to prevent or shorten outages • Establishes design standards and patterns to meet business needs • Zero-day CVE resolution through automation • Work in partnership with Info Sec and Product teams • Collaborate with architects and engineers to integrate security into the automation pipeline.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in IT or related field or equivalent experience is required • Microsoft and Linux certifications • Extensive experience with Agile/Scrum/Kanban process and environments • Extensive experience with manually deploying systems, services, and thick-client applications in the cloud (“click-ops”) • Extensive experience managing legacy cloud environments without Docker, Kubernetes, or automation • Linux (Ubuntu), Windows, Mac, and mobile device management and administration experience • Must have experience in setting up and maintaining Windows and Ubuntu server environments in Azure through scripting and automation • Experience with automation tools for server, workstation and mobile device deployment and configuration management • 7+ years professional IT experience in capacity planning, performance, monitoring, management, and cloud compute design • 3+ years hands-on cloud experience deploying IaaS and/or PaaS systems in Azure through automation • Adept in at least three programing and/or scripting languages • Current and working knowledge of CIS security practices and best practices • 3+ years documenting processes and procedures for other departments to use in support of the environments built and maintained • Experience with enterprise networks • Experience reducing and eliminating technical debt • Business continuity / disaster recovery practices
