Description

• Provide Thought Leadership & Drive Change • Drive business results by conceptualizing advanced algorithms and mathematic models • Interact closely with the leadership team to solve issues using data • Identify formal and informal leaders in other functional areas • Provide data and statistics expertise for leadership team • Produce data-driven insights • Convert complex analysis into visual presentations • Serve as lead developer for assigned projects • Collaborate with subject matter experts • Foster collaboration and open dialogue with key stakeholders • Guide technical design and structuring of software tools • Build scalable solutions • Manage strategic projects • Collect and curate data needed for research • Dive deep into data • Utilize programming tools to cleanse large structured and unstructured data sets • Apply transformation techniques to move data • Manage data in manner that protects privacy and confidentiality • Iteratively, efficiently, and effectively identify and execute projects with the greatest return • Develop mathematic models that maximize Dealer Tire and dealership profitability • Apply statistical and algorithmic methods • Ensure business units can leverage insights

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering or other quantitative fields • 5+ years of experience with end-to-end data-science product management • 3+ years of experience in the areas of Operations Research and/or Supply Chain Projects • Effective project management experience with proven results required • Strong ability to present complex technical material to executive audiences • Advanced proficiency in programming languages for statistics and automation (Python or R) • Advanced proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Power Point) • Advanced proficiency with AWS Amazon Web Services (Sagemaker, S3, Lambda, EventBridge, Glue, Step Functions, etc.) • Proficient in data-access languages (SQL, PostgreSQL, T-SQL) • Proficient in agile work management tools (Jira) • Proficient with version control approaches for product development • Experience with statistical modeling, supervised and unsupervised machine-learning frameworks is a plus
