📋 Description

• Introduction to Demandbase: Demandbase helps B2B companies hit their revenue goals using fewer resources. • About the Role: Demandbase is hiring a Staff Database Reliability Engineer (DBRE) to lead the evolution of our database infrastructure. • Own our core database infrastructure by designing, operating, and scaling AWS RDS (PostgreSQL/MySQL), DynamoDB, and BigQuery. • Automate everything, build and maintain automation for provisioning, backups, failover, schema changes. • Partner across teams, work with product and platform engineers to optimize schemas and queries. • Lead incident response & observability, own database observability with Prometheus, Grafana, and Datadog. • Mentor & lead a global team guiding DBREs across time zones with clear direction and support.

🎯 Requirements

• 12+ years of experience in database engineering or operations. • Deep expertise with AWS RDS (PostgreSQL/MySQL) and DynamoDB. • Strong experience with performance tuning, HA strategies, and data security. • Solid Linux skills and scripting (Python, Shell). • Hands-on with Terraform, CI/CD (GitLab or similar), Docker/Kubernetes. • Familiar with observability stacks (Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog). • Experience leading teams or mentoring other engineers. • Clear communicator — both technical and collaborative.
