Description

• Clearance: US citizenship and the ability to obtain a DHS Public Trust. • This senior developer position is for a project that performs Agile software development for systems that support our client’s mission. This position will involve software development from the requirements gathering phase through coding and testing; researching issues in existing code and finding a solution; preparing ad hoc reports, communicating status including issues and risks to the team; collaborating with team members to reach problem resolution; and learning new skill sets on the job. • As one of the senior leaders in the cloud space, the individual in this position is expected to drive value through the adoption and integration of cloud-native architectures using a serverless-first approach across current and future lines of effort both internally and externally. Primary expectations for this position are client-facing and working directly on implementation and integration work. • External functions include: Participating in Dev Technology public engagements, including working collaboratively to identify opportunities that align with company strategic goals; and supporting Dev Technology Group presence at industry events related to cloud and serverless architectures. Internal functions will include providing insight and guidance to the executive team on current and emerging technologies within cloud architectures and cloud-native services, providing direct and indirect guidance and support to innovation teams, participating in SBIR and Challenge work to demonstrate capability to potential clients, working with others in the organization to develop individuals and teams, and providing direct billable support to clients cloud architect roles. Requirements

• A Bachelor’s Degree is required for this position. A Master’s Degree in Systems or Software Engineering or a related IT field is strongly preferred. • A minimum of 8+ years of directly related professional experience supporting systems in multiple languages and frameworks • Experience with React UI or related UI frameworks (Angular) • Experience with AWS Cloud Tools (AWS Lambda, EventBridge) • Experience with Node.js • Ability to understand complex business processes and how they relate to the systems supporting them • Ability to research problems, identify a root cause, and recommend and implement a solution • Aptitude for picking up technology quickly along with a desire to learn and progress • Good communication skills, both written and verbal • Ability to collaborate with team members to ensure client needs and expectations are met or exceeded • Comfortable working in a remote environment • Demonstrates a passion for solving complex software challenges and enjoys collaborating on a team • Demonstrated success in R&D functions in the field of cloud architecture design and implementation, such as published papers, books, patents, or documented work with research organizations • Demonstrated success leading teams in designing and deploying modern architectures in cloud environments such as AWS • Demonstrated success in helping clients better leverage their IT assets to deliver mission capability faster • Demonstrated ability to use cloud-native services to architect and implement complex and mission-critical applications and services
