Description

• We are looking for a Mid-Level Full-Stack Software Engineer with Salesforce experience to join our team! Reporting to the Senior Vice President, Technology, the Software Engineer will be passionate about our mission to support those who need help most in our healthcare system. This role will be part of our software development team and take guidance from our senior software engineering leaders. • We create and execute our technology enablement efforts – from software development to data/analytics, to infrastructure, and enterprise technologies. We work collaboratively across internal stakeholders to understand business problems and needs, and design & implement solutions that support our mission of providing effective and transformative patient-centered care. • We work on an ever-expanding set of technology platforms and are always seeking the simplest, most cost-effective way to solve problems. On the software side, we build solutions spanning Salesforce, Amazon Web Services, Snowflake, EMRs/EHRs, claims and clinical data feeds, etc. We work in technologies that include Salesforce (Lightning UIs supported by Apex APIs), Javascript (UI frameworks like React, and back-end services such as Node/Express), databases (SQL and NoSQL), data integrations and warehouses, and more, all deployed across automated, serverless infrastructures wherever possible.

Requirements

• Technical breadth with full-stack development in both Salesforce and JavaScript – someone who has technical abilities to design user interfaces and back-end APIs across multiple environments, and understands not only the functional aspects of programming, but also has the breadth to develop beyond application coding – such as infrastructure, CI/CD, monitoring, security/authentication, etc. Having projects where you’ve had to develop UIs, APIs, infrastructure, and CI/CD across Salesforce, JavaScript and other environments would demonstrate that breadth of experience. • Ownership and action – someone who sees a problem and wants to take ownership of solving the problem. There’s no room for silos here, we all have to cross boundaries to create solutions. Having examples where you’ve gone above and beyond what your role expectations is a great way to show this. • Solid development experience with a strong potential to grow – someone who may not yet be a consistent senior influencer or architect, but who has multiple examples of going beyond their experience level. This can be indicated by having 2-5 years of strong experience with some examples of going beyond the years. Tell us how you’ve solved a big problem or had a big impact – we want to know. • Adaptable willingness and ability to support the team and achieve results – someone who has shown themselves willing to jump into new areas, learn new technologies, and do so quickly in a way that impacts the business. Being able to discuss examples of having a measurable impact on the business while mastering new technologies would show how you are focused on making a difference for the team and the company while expanding your skillset. • Keeping hard things simple – someone who remains focused on simple, reliable solutions even when the problems seem complex. We’d love to hear precedents where you took something really complicated and were able solve it with something simple, or in a way that addressed an even bigger problem in a general, flexible way. • Experience and understanding of healthcare technology and industry trends – being familiar with the industry always helps. • Proficiency in working with healthcare players such as providers and payers – these are two of our biggest customer personas. • Abilities and experience with other languages and technology stacks – Python, Go, Java, etc – no one tool solves every task, so having a bigger toolbelt is always a plus! • Teamwork, mentorship, and history helping teams and teammates grow and get stronger – being able to lift a coworker shows a commitment to more than oneself. • Start-up or small company experience – start-ups have no silos or boundaries like larger companies might, so showing how you’ve been in such an environment before helps prove that you can do it again.
