Description
•Manage and evolve Watson, our design system for consistency, scalability, and flexibility •Lead and manage a team of three product designers, providing mentorship and support •Oversee project management, deciding sprint priorities and assigning tasks •Drive operational excellence in design practices, optimizing workflows and ensuring high-quality work •Collaborate with Product Managers, Engineers, and other stakeholders on design strategy and execution •Facilitate adoption of the design system through resources and training •Ensure seamless integration of design system components into tools, maintaining thorough documentation and usability
Requirements
•A portfolio showcasing design systems you have created or significantly contributed to •Proven experience in leading, mentoring, and managing a small team of designers, fostering collaboration and professional growth •Deep expertise with Figma, component libraries, and other design system management tools •A strategic mindset focused on design scalability, operational efficiency, and continuous improvement •Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams and bridging the gap between design, product, and engineering •Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to prioritize and execute multiple initiatives simultaneously •Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to clearly articulate design decisions and operational strategies to stakeholders •Familiarity with data-informed decision-making, including metrics to measure the effectiveness of design operations and systems •6+ years of experience in interaction design
