📋 Description
• DDM is looking for a writer to join the News & Deals team to cover timely home, fashion, and lifestyle-related shopping content • Pitch and write one to two shopping articles per day that generate affiliate revenue • Use data and analytics to brainstorm and guide content decisions • Collaborate closely with numerous writers and editors on the home vertical • Monitor social media (TikTok, Instagram, etc.) for commerce opportunities, including viral products • Build your own content within the CMS • Reach out to experts to provide background information and quotes as needed • Attend weekly editorial meetings, reporting back to the Home News & Deals team with any relevant insights
🎯 Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, or a similar field • 2+ years of relevant experience • Knowledgeable about the home and lifestyle space • passionate about shopping and finding the best products to recommend to readers • Detail-oriented and deadline-focused • Well-versed in SEO best practices • A strong writer capable of creating engaging, lively copy while sticking to a brand’s voice, values, and style • A self-starter who can pivot seamlessly as new initiatives and directives are identified
