• Dream for America is seeking a Development Director to lead our fundraising and development efforts. • The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with a proven track record of securing funds from diverse sources, including individual donors, foundations, corporations, and events. • This role is critical to our growth and sustainability, and the Development Director will work closely with the Chief Executive, Board of Directors, and program staff to advance our mission. • The Development Director will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive fundraising strategy, grant writing and management, donor relations and stewardship, and writing copy.

• Demonstrated experience in building and leading high-performing teams. • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships and engage with a diverse range of stakeholders. • Proficiency in donor management software and fundraising analytics. • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions. • Creative thinker with the ability to generate innovative ideas and solutions. • Passion for progressive ideas & principles. • Positive attitude. • Extremely strong work ethic. • Prior experience in Communications, Business, Business Management, Sales, Sales Management. • Knowledge or experience with CRM platforms. • Past/present involvement in progressive youth organizations. • Leadership experience in progressive youth organizations.
