Description

• The Manager, Cloud Engineering will be responsible for overseeing the development, deployment, and optimization of cloud infrastructure and services, ensuring seamless scalability, performance, and security. • This role will align with other leaders on strategic direction and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful delivery of projects, managing resources and providing technical guidance to the team. • A heavy emphasis will be placed on establishing appropriate governance and guardrails for our Engineering team to rely on as the company shifts more of its platform to the Cloud.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science or Computer Engineering or related field. • 5 years of experience in cloud engineering, with a focus on managing teams and cloud infrastructure at scale. • Extensive experience with major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP). • Strong understanding of cloud architecture, networking, and security best practices. • Proficiency with cloud automation tools and infrastructure-as-code (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible). • Proficiency in containerization and orchestration technologies, with specific experience providing a managed Kubernetes service. • Solid understanding of DevOps and SRE principles, with experience in CI/CD, monitoring, and incident response. • Excellent leadership and team management skills, with a proven ability to guide and mentor cloud engineering teams. • Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects and deliver results in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across teams and departments. • Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Google Professional Cloud Architect, etc.) are a plus. This means certifications are not a requirement, simply a plus.
