• EDF Renewables North America is seeking a highly skilled AWS Cloud Linux Systems Engineer • Responsible for deploying, configuring, and maintaining AWS infrastructure services • Manage cloud services and ensure scalability, security, and high availability • Collaborate with DevOps and Development teams to design cloud-native solutions • Develop and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and automate routine tasks • Implement and enforce security best practices for cloud environments • Monitor and optimize performance and availability of cloud infrastructure • Quickly respond to and resolve system outages and performance degradation • Maintain documentation for cloud infrastructure and provide mentoring to junior team members
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience) • Proven experience as an AWS engineer, Linux Specialist, Cloud Specialist, or Infrastructure Engineer in a similar role • Proficiency in managing cloud platforms such as AWS, with at least 7 - 9 years of experience working in cloud-based environments • In-depth knowledge of Linux-based systems (e.g., Ubuntu, CentOS, RedHat) with at least 5 - 7 years of hands-on experience in Linux system engineering • Hands-on experience with Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar tools • Strong experience with automation tools such as Ansible, Puppet, or Chef • Understanding of networking concepts such as DNS, VPN, CIDR, subnets, and VPCs in a cloud environment • Knowledge of cloud security practices and tools (e.g., IAM, VPC security, firewalls, encryption) • Experience with monitoring and logging solutions (e.g., CloudWatch, PagerDuty, LogicMonitor)
