📋 Description
• Lead the legal strategies for the U.S. Energy Foundation and the Energy Action Fund. • Provide internal legal counsel and manage enterprise risk. • Ensure compliance with 501(c)(3) and 501(c)(4) requirements. • Oversee outside counsel focused on nonprofit law. • Advise on legal issues across the organization.
🎯 Requirements
• Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school, with active bar membership • Significant legal experience in U.S. corporate, nonprofit, government, and contract law. • Demonstrable legal analytical skills and expertise in compliance and rules applicable to nonprofit organizations. • Experience working with and advising senior management. • Solutions-oriented, collaborative leader committed to a diverse environment. • Excellent communications and interpersonal skills. • Commitment to advancing DEI principles in a complex legal environment. • Strong business partner providing excellent service across all levels.
