📋 Description

• As an early member of the Claims team, the Claims Counsel plays a critical role within the Embroker Insurance group by providing key feedback on claim systems and processes. • This position manages a variety of EPL, D&O, Cyber, E&O, Crime and Fiduciary claims with a focus on Cyber and Tech E&O losses, and conducts detailed coverage analysis and critical claim management to drive cost effective and timely resolutions while providing first-in-class service to our policyholders. • This position also closely collaborates with Claims and Insurance team leadership, and internal data, actuarial, and distribution teams. • Responsibilities include completing accurate and timely claim investigations into coverage, liability, and damages, proactively managing pending claim to drive timely and cost-effective resolutions, and building and maintaining positive relationships with internal and external customers.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required; J.D. from an accredited law school preferred • 5+ years professional experience, with at least 3 years of experience litigating or managing professional liability claims, or equivalent combination of education and experience • Previous experience managing Cyber and/or Tech E&O claims desirable • Must possess required state claim adjuster license • Proven ability to work both independently on complex matters and collaboratively as a team player to assist others as needed • High level of personal initiative and leadership skills; prior experience managing a team preferred • Exceptional time management, problem solving and organizational skills • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written • Ability to travel to mediations, trials, etc. as necessary (10 - 15%) • Ability to work cross culturally on a global team • Prolonged periods of time sitting at a desk and working on a computer • Ability to perform at a high-level in a remote work environment
