• eSimplicity is a modern digital services company that works across government • We're seeking a Senior Azure Cloud DevOps Engineer focused on systems reliability and best-practices • This role is highly visible and has mission-critical responsibilities • Applicants must have deep Cloud knowledge and experience with Data Science teams • Strong communication skills and technical documentation experience are required

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; Master’s degree is a plus • 6+ years of experience in Azure cloud engineering, architecture, and/or DevSecOps • Strong experience using git (version control) • Strong experience in a fast-based team-based setting • Strong experience with Docker, podman, Kubernetes, and related technology • Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices and experience with PowerShell / CLI • Strong knowledge of CI/CD including Github Actions and yaml • Understanding and experience on how to set up organizational Self-hosted Runners in Github Actions • Strong knowledge of Azure Identity and Access Management, Governance, and Security best practices • Solid experience with Azure Batch compute and related services • Proficiency in Python or R for scripting and automation tasks; familiarity with data manipulation libraries is preferred • Experience with data pipeline architecture and management • Existing CDC badge and clearance (desired) • Prior experience working for CDC (desired) • 6+ years of Bash and unix-scripting (desired) • 6+ years experience working with Linux distributions, including Ubuntu (desired) • Prior production experience with DAG tools (i.e. Airflow, Nextflow) is highly desirable • Knowledge of cloud security best practices and data governance frameworks (desired)
