• Proactively support pre-sales activities to drive the sales of products and services offered by Esri Canada. • Work with the Public Works Industry Manager and Professional Services team to design and develop Esri based industry solution service packages. • Advise customers on GIS requirements and strategies, architectures, products selection, and release planning. • Support competitive sales situations such as responding to and delivering benchmark presentations for RFIs and RFPs • Mentor and educate Esri Canada technical staff through seminars, demos, and lunch and learn sessions on a regular basis • Leverage existing ArcGIS and partner solutions (Trimble) and deliver effective demonstrations of ArcGIS products and partner solutions that address client needs and competitive situations. • Assist customers on decisions regarding software solutions, professional services’ needs business partner selection, and training requirements. • Assist clients and business partners in integrating ArcGIS technology with their respective products and organizational data. • Proactively support post-sales activities to expand the use of products and services offered by Esri Canada, generate additional sales, improve customer satisfaction, and enhance Esri Canada's image as a solutions provider. • Team up with the Public Works Customer Success Manager and Regional account managers to perform regular key account reviews and follow ups. • Act as a technical advisor to customers and partners to provide GIS strategy support. • Assist in the planning and delivery of events, as well as collateral and electronic communication to expand the use of our Asset Management and Community Development solutions across all interested industries. • Work collaboratively with the sales and marketing teams to ensure client needs are met, record videos, and produce technical marketing materials.
• 3+ years of technical experience working with the ArcGIS product platform • University degree, college diploma, or relevant experience in a related field of study • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. • Courteous, well-spoken, and customer focused. • Self-motivated, goal driven, and efficient team player. • Willingness to travel throughout Canada. • Ability to independently troubleshoot, research, and investigate complex technical issues. • Manage changing assignments and priorities. • Creative skills in piecing together several system components into a compelling user experience • Excellent organizational skills and proven ability to meet tight timelines. • Development and implementation experience with GIS technology. • Experience in consulting, sales support, or sales engineering • Knowledge of Maintenance and Asset Management practices and regulations. • Knowledge of Permitting and Planning practices and regulations. • Practical experience with Asset Management software such as Cityworks AMS • Practice experience with Community Development software such as Cityworks PLL • Knowledge of Esri specific data models and industry solutions such as ArcGIS Indoors, Utility Network, GeoEvent/Velocity, Roads & Highways. • Understanding of Information Technology concepts and technology, such as RDBMS, Operating Systems, Networking, Cloud, Information Security, Remote Desktop, etc. • Understanding of scripting and/or web development concepts and development frameworks such as: Python, JavaScript, jQuery, CSS, XML and experience interacting with REST API’s • Fluency in English is essential, as this role requires regular client communication and support in English-speaking regions • Bonus points for this position: Bilingual (English/French).
