Description

β€’ Creation of a forward-looking design to meet and exceed requirements, focusing on scalable designs and customer enablement. β€’ Lead the development and execution of comprehensive observability strategies to enhance system reliability and performance. β€’ Champion and lead the design of AI and ML-based technologies for automated decision making within ITOA. β€’ Mentor and guide team members on best practices in observability, fostering continuous learning and improvement. β€’ Articulation of the agreed design and vision to stakeholders for understanding and support. β€’ Collaborate with stakeholder teams to successfully integrate observability into all business processes. β€’ Assist in creating standards, policies, self-service automation, and implementing agreed designs. β€’ Stay abreast of emerging technologies in the observability space and recommend innovative tools. β€’ Play a key role in incident management processes, utilizing observability tools to optimize troubleshooting capabilities. β€’ Ensure observability solutions comply with industry standards and security regulations, safeguarding data integrity and privacy.

Requirements

β€’ Expert knowledge and experience in both design/architecture and user experience in enterprise observability tooling and open source technologies. β€’ Proven leadership experience with the ability to deliver complex projects on time and within scope. β€’ Proficiency with containerization (Docker), orchestration (Kubernetes), and microservices architectures. β€’ Familiarity with infrastructure as code tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible. β€’ Deep understanding of logging, monitoring, tracing, and alerting practices in large-scale distributed systems. β€’ Experience with real-time analytics platforms and handling streaming data. β€’ Significant experience in effective integrations between systems of record, engagement, and intelligence to achieve business requirements. β€’ Experience with systems of intelligence and engagement tooling. β€’ Experience using technologies to drive scalability within ITOA. β€’ Significant experience in providing technical leadership and delivering a technical vision. β€’ Experience in tooling in the wider ITOA domain would be beneficial. β€’ Expertise in scripting for automation and software engineering best practices. β€’ Knowledge of OpenTelemetry. β€’ Advanced experience working in an AWS Environment. β€’ Certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect are a plus. β€’ Understanding of security considerations in observability, including data encryption and access controls.
