📋 Description

• The Aviatrix Observability Product Engineering team is responsible for delivering performant, resilient, and scalable solutions to our observability platform. • This includes infrastructure for collecting, transmitting, processing, storing, and analyzing a vast set of data that contribute to the Aviatrix, end-to-end multi-cloud solution. • We are searching for a Principal Software Engineer to join the Observability team. • You will be responsible for solving new challenges in building a large-scale distributed observability platform and providing leadership to junior engineers. • Responsibilities include leading the migration of a monolithic backend service to a microservice architecture, conducting design and code reviews, and improving efficiency, scalability, and stability of various system components.

🎯 Requirements

• 12+ years relevant experience building enterprise-grade appliances on a scale or similar experience • 5+ years of experience designing and delivering features independently without guidance • Proficiency in Golang • Proficient in the design and implementation of microservice architecture • Comfortable deploying software with Docker and Kubernetes • Experience with developing backend service APIs • Has worked with common databases to store observability data including time series, OLAP and NoSQL databases • Excellent software engineering skills: ability to write clean, testable, and maintainable code • Team player that works well in collaborative situations and start-up environments • Excellent interpersonal skills, verbal, and written communication
