Description

• The Data Architect will be responsible for designing, creating, deploying, and managing the data architecture necessary for migrating customers from on-premises software to our SaaS platform as well as the ongoing exchange of data between Velosidy and clients’ source systems. • This role involves defining how the data will be stored, consumed, integrated, and managed by different data entities and IT systems, as well as any applications using or processing that data. • The Data Architect will be responsible for managing a team of Application Developers, driving efficiency and consistency in daily operations, managing development and growth of the team. • This position is fully Remote • Visa sponsorship or transfer of an existing visa is not available for this position. You must be authorized to work directly for any employer in the United States without visa sponsorship or transfer.

Requirements

• 3+ years related experience leading a highly technical team of US based and offshore resources with similar roles/responsibilities outlined above. • 5+ years proven experience as a Data Architect, Data Engineer, Data Migration Specialist, or similar role. • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field preferred. • In-depth understanding of database structure principles and data migration best practices. • Experience gathering and analyzing system requirements for data migration projects. • Knowledge of data mapping, transformation, and validation techniques. • Hands-on experience with ETL tools (Boomi, or similar frameworks) • Proficiency in writing and optimizing SQL queries • Experience with relational databases (Oracle or similar) • Ability to design, develop, and maintain data exchange (ETL) processes • Familiarity with cloud-based data solutions (e.g., AWS, Azure). • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. • Strong organizational and leadership skills. • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously. • Ability to work with all personality types. • Strong desire to learn and grow. • Excellent customer service and relationship building skills. • Excellent interpersonal relationship skills. • Excellent organizational skills. • Excellent reasoning, decision-making, and problem-solving skills. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. • Travel may be occasional.
