• Be a part of the team building the future of healthcare! • Firefly Health is building a revolutionary new type of comprehensive health "care and coverage,” powered by a relationship-driven care team, a trusted virtual and in-person clinical network, and our proprietary technology platform. • Founded by experienced clinicians and technology leaders, Firefly Health is on a mission to deliver clinical and financial health through joyful, always there care. • We are flipping the script on what it means to be a health plan and actually providing a true health benefit to members. • We are intensely focused on optimizing the physical + mental + financial wellbeing of those who want (and deserve) something better than the status quo. • We’re seeking a dynamic and creative Benefit Design Strategist to develop and implement cutting-edge benefit strategies that align with our mission of delivering value-driven care. • You will report directly to the Senior Vice President of Product. • Your key responsibilities include: • Expertise: Be the in-house expert on benefit design, and develop a holistic re-design for our existing plans, as well as prospective plan designs for new segments like fully insured. • Benefit Design & Innovation: Develop and refine innovative benefits that drive improved outcomes while reducing total cost of care via various mechanisms including through our in house care solutions. • Cost Analysis & Optimization: Leverage data analytics to identify cost drivers and design solutions that address those challenges without compromising quality of care. • Research & Trends: Stay current on market trends, regulatory requirements, and emerging healthcare technologies to ensure benefit designs remain ahead of the curve. • Sales Support: - Support sales efforts as SME. Present proposed plan design details to current and potential customers. • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams (e.g., actuarial, clinical, operations, sales & marketing) and external partners (e.g., clients, prospects and consultants) to evaluate and implement strategies. • Member-Centric Approach: Focus on improving member experiences by creating accessible, transparent, and easy-to-use benefits. • Education & Communication: Develop materials and deliver presentations to educate clients and stakeholders on the value and impact of innovative benefit solutions. • Performance Monitoring: Track the performance of benefit designs post-implementation and adjust as necessary to achieve optimal results.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in benefits design, healthcare consulting, actuarial analysis or a related field with deep understanding of employer-sponsored health plans and cost drivers. • Proven track record of implementing innovative benefit solutions that reduce costs and improve care outcomes via various member incentive structures. • Bachelor’s degree in healthcare management, business, public health, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred. • Strong analytical skills with experience interpreting healthcare data (e.g., claims data, utilization trends). • Excellent communication and presentation skills. • Creative thinker with the ability to challenge traditional benefit design models. • Strong project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously. • Knowledge of self-funded health plans and value-based care principles. • It’d be nice if you have: • Experience working with pricing / care quality vendor data (e.g., Talon) to inform benefit design and incentives. • Knowledge of fully insured health plans.
