Description

• FirstEnergy is a forward-thinking electric utility • IT Developer responsible for delivering and maintaining applications for business transformation • Collaborate with business units and IT for analytics solutions • Participate in production support and enhancement lifecycle of analytic systems

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative discipline (Computer Science or related) or 6 years of related experience • Knowledge of basic programming proficiency (i.e. .NET, Java, C, etc.) and SQL skills • Ability to visualize data in reporting applications (Power BI, QlikView, etc.) • Ability to prioritize and plan activities, multitask, and meet deadlines • Willing to work flexible hours and be available during on-call rotation • Comfortable with Microsoft Office Suite, SharePoint, Teams • Proficiency with monitoring systems using log files • Collaborate with Data Engineers to support Azure data warehousing solution • Gather requirements for new reporting projects and provide development estimates • Create and execute comprehensive unit and integration test plans • Investigate and resolve problems with reporting applications in production support • Highly motivated and able to work independently
