📋 Description

• Prepare bridge design plans and construction bid packages for NYSDOT, NYSTA and locally administered federal aid transportation projects • Effectively complete assignments related to bridge inspection, bridge load rating and analysis and all aspects of concrete/steel bridge and foundation design • Coordinate and communicate effectively with clients, sub consultants and regulatory approving agencies • Assist with field inspections and reports for bridge and culvert inspections • Attend project kick off meetings • Research, understand and document jurisdictional requirements • Develop creative and strategic design options that meet client’s goals • Complete site feasibility studies as well as site and environmental analysis • Schematic design, engineering systems coordination, site cost analysis, design development • Specification and materials research • Develop plans, specifications, reports, and cost estimates • Develop detailed design plans, drawings, and specifications for bridges and related structures • Coordinate with reviewers and other disciplines to ensure accuracy and quality of work • Proactively assist Project Managers, and Project Engineers and Group Manager • Provide technical support during the construction phase

🎯 Requirements

• B.S. degree in Civil Engineering or related field (MS preferred) • 5 - 10 years minimum of transportation experience, structures/bridge design experience preferred • Professional Engineering License (PE) or ability to obtain it • Experience with MS Office, MicroStation, STAAD, Bridge Design Software preferred • Experience with NYSDOT and/or PennDOT required
