Description

• Reporting to the President, lead product and technology roadmap • Provide support and governance to engineering • Understand power systems, energy management, emerging technologies • Define complex new technologies and applications • Set strategic direction for technology development • Develop strategic planning for product development • Formulate long-term objectives and standards • Assure achievement of objectives within budget • Stay informed of industry trends • Motivate staff and provide direction and guidance • Hire and direct senior staff • Ensure product design meets needs and has wider applications • Engage with customers, partners, industry stakeholders • Communicate value of technology solutions to customers • Manage technology resources, budgets, timelines

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Engineering or related discipline • MBA is strongly preferred • Typically requires 10+ years of manufacturing experience • Typically requires at least 7 years of management or supervisory experience • Ability to identify creative ways to reduce cost by streamlining processes and systems • Requires strong innovation skills and creativity • Ability to influence and hold others accountable • Strong strategic thinking and decision-making skills • Must understand P&L
