Description

• Join the Flip Team • Flip is redefining the online shopping experience through our social commerce platform. • As a Senior Data Engineer / Architect at Flip, you’ll shape the technology and data infrastructure. • We need a seasoned data engineer or architect to help us scale and support data science to real-time analytics. • This role can be based fully remote in NYC, the SF Bay Area, or office-based in LA.

Requirements

• Extensive experience with big data technologies like Spark, Scala, Kafka, and Hadoop. • Proficiency in cloud platforms like GCP, AWS, or Azure. • Expertise in building real-time data streaming solutions, using tools like Kafka Streams or similar. • Strong experience with CI/CD pipelines and operationalizing data pipelines, with tools like Airflow, NiFi, and others. • A deep understanding of distributed systems and their architecture. • A passion for staying up-to-date with the latest technology trends and using innovative approaches to solve problems. • Strong communication skills and the ability to work closely with cross-functional teams.
