Achieving our goals requires creativity, diversity of ideas and backgrounds, and building trust to effect change and move with speed. •LOCATION: Chile (office is based in Santiago, Chile). •The candidate must have a strong sales aptitude and a track record of sales performance - winning new customers and building a healthy sales pipeline with experience in selling Enterprise class SaaS solutions into the Renewable Energy sector. •KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: •Responsible for new order booking for the Fluence Digital business in the Latin American region with primary focus on Nispera, Fluence Digital’s Asset Performance Management platform. •Own relationships with key accounts active in region, including investor-owned utilities, retailers, and independent power producers, from initial contacts through ongoing utilization of our products. •Manage proposals and lead overall proposal activities for customers' Requests for Proposal. Lead internal teams in understanding the customer RFP requirements, the competition, and responsible and leading the sales strategy to close and win these opportunities. •Work closely and collaboratively with Product Managers and Marketing to create and maintain sales collateral that resonate with our customer and prospects. •Track maturation of Fluence Digital’s competitive environment to inform Fluence Digital positioning, product offering, and go-to-market strategies. •Summarize customer’s technical perspective to assist Sales, Marketing, Product and Technology to understand the voice of the customer, the users’ perspectives, and the problems they seek to solve. •This position will report to the VP Fluence Digital - Americas.
•Sales/Business Development/Product Management experience •Minimum 9 years as a senior Sales Engineer / Sales Manager with large enterprise customers, ideally in the energy or technology industry •Owning sales targets, formulating go-to-market strategies, and identifying the resources required for success •Charting sales cycles, anticipating obstacles, and managing attrition •Prioritizing customers at different stages of a sales funnel •Engaging customers with a view towards utilization and satisfaction •Mapping accounts & profiling buyers within client organizations •Building trusted relationships with client counterparties •Ensuring alignment with customer requirements and key purchasing criteria •Driving deals to successful close •Experience working with CRM systems to support clear communication, pipeline management, and scaling of sales achievement •Overseeing deal teams, including functional experts (e.g., engineering, legal) outside a reporting line •Anticipating deadlines and managing expectations •Ensuring proper and timely contract drafting, reviews, and approvals •Self-starter: eager to dive into details of previously unknown or lesser-known topics •Experience in managing analyses and delivering targeted insights to internal & external stakeholders •Efficient and creative problem-solver who is mindful of business objectives, and drives towards decision-making •Ability to understand SCADA, basic programming languages and IOT a plus •Familiarity with connecting and optimizing assets within a customer business •Ability to convey complex matters in simple business-friendly terms •Material desire and ability to assist customers and in solving their problems through use of Fluence Digital’s tools and data. •Excellent communication and presentation skills, especially in client-facing contexts - must be highly comfortable working with people across several organizations. •Experience in pre-sales or sales role, working collaboratively with Sales Teams, understanding the full sales life cycle and processes is a plus. •Must be an independent, highly motivated self-starter, naturally pro-active with great sense of initiative. •Experiencing managing across functional domains •BS/BA in an analytical field (e.g., Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Finance, Business, or related field) preferred, or equivalent experience. MBA preferred.
