Description

• Responsible for financial transactions related to monthly accounting operations. • Ensure all transactions are accurately recorded and processed in a timely manner. • Address and resolve discrepancies or issues related to financial transactions. • Maintain the general ledger, ensuring all financial transactions are recorded accurately and promptly. • Assist in the preparation and posting of journal entries, including month-end and year-end closing entries. • Conduct regular reviews and reconciliations of general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness. • Perform detailed account reconciliations for various balance sheet accounts, including bank reconciliations. • Investigate and resolve discrepancies identified during reconciliations. • Ensure reconciliations are completed in accordance with established timelines and procedures. • Assist in the preparation of financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. • Support the preparation of management reports and analysis to aid in decision-making. • Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and regulatory requirements. • Identify opportunities for process improvements within accounting operations to enhance efficiency and accuracy. • Assist in the implementation of new accounting systems, processes, and procedures. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline workflows and improve operational effectiveness. • Ensure adherence to internal controls and compliance with accounting standards and regulations. • Assist in the preparation of documentation and schedules for internal and external audits. • Support the implementation of audit recommendations and address any findings. • Work closely with other members of the accounting team to ensure coordinated and efficient operations. • Provide guidance and support to junior team members as needed. • Participate in team meetings and contribute to the continuous improvement of accounting operations. • Participate in special projects and initiatives as assigned by the Accounting Operations Manager or Director. • Provide support for ad hoc financial analyses and reporting as required.

Requirements

• University degree in Accounting or Finance • Internationally recognized accounting designation (CPA, CA) is preferred • A Minimum of 2 years of relevant post-qualification experience within re/insurance is preferred • Possess strategic and analytical problem-solving skills • Ability to work at a fast pace and/or handle shifting priorities • Be detail oriented and highly organized • Possess strong communication and analytical skills • Highly motivated and results-oriented • Proven ability to work independently • Very strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communications skills to clearly articulate sophisticated concepts, ideas, and processes
