Description

• ServiceChannel is the leading cloud-based service automation platform for facility management. • Lead a team of Site Reliability Engineers and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams. • Ensure reliability, scalability, and performance of systems and applications. • Establish and enforce best practices for incident response, monitoring, and system reliability. • Participate in on-call rotation and incident response. • Seek new opportunities to increase efficiency through automation.

Requirements

• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills. • Prior experience in managing a high-performing SRE team or related engineering teams is essential. • 6+ years of relevant experience focused on service reliability: DevOps, systems administration, QA Automation, application development, build, release, and deployment in a Microsoft Windows Server environment. • Experience with cloud orchestration (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure, Heroku). • Experience with configuration management and orchestration tools (Puppet, Chef, Salt, Terraform, or similar). • Experience running containerized applications using Kubernetes or similar technologies. • Experience interacting with production environments. • Experience working with Unix/Linux systems from kernel to shell and beyond including working with system libraries, file systems, and client-server protocols. • Familiarity with commercial software development practices (version control, defect tracking, product schedules and deliverables). • Caching layer technologies (Elasticache / memcached, redis). • Networking and security experience. • Experience with monitoring and anomaly detection systems. • Experience working on complex, 24x7-available distributed systems. • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools. • Deep knowledge of developer workflows with Git. • Strong track record of documenting processes, procedures and best practices. • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and collaborative environment. • Participation in on-call rotation. • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field or 8-10 years in relevant job experience.
