• Frequence is the only end-to-end platform for media companies and agencies to grow and automate their advertising sales and operations while integrating owned and operated media. • Frequence is a Madhive Company. Madhive is the leading independent and fully customizable operating system built to help local media organizations build profitable, differentiated, and efficient businesses. • We are seeking an experienced Senior Engineering Manager to lead our Demand-Side Platform (DSP) engineering teams. • You will provide strategic direction, drive alignment across teams, and manage both individual contributors and managers. • As Madhive continues to scale, the efficiency, scalability, and innovation of our DSP are critical to our success. • You will be responsible for ensuring the execution of complex, business-critical projects, optimizing real-time bidding systems, and driving technical excellence to support the company’s growth. • We power the backbone of Madhive’s real-time advertising platform. Our DSP engineering teams build and optimize the core systems responsible for ad decisioning, bidding, and delivery—processing millions of queries per second with ultra-low latency. • Our work is at the intersection of high-performance computing, distributed systems, and machine learning. We are passionate about building scalable, reliable, and cost-efficient solutions that drive measurable business impact.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience. • 10+ years of experience in software development, with 5+ years leading high-performing engineering teams, including managing managers. • Deep expertise in large-scale, real-time distributed systems, with a strong understanding of high-performance computing, low-latency architectures, and ad tech platforms. • Hands-on experience with real-time bidding (RTB), programmatic advertising, and ad-serving technologies. • Strong understanding of data streaming, event-driven architectures, and performance optimization techniques. • Proficiency with Go, Python, or other high-performance languages and familiarity with streaming architectures (Kafka, Flink, or similar). • Experience working in cloud environments (preferably GCP), optimizing for performance, reliability, and cost efficiency. • Proven ability to collaborate with executive leadership, product teams, and cross-functional partners to align technical strategies with business needs. • Passionate about mentorship, team growth, and fostering a culture of innovation and accountability. • Data-driven mindset, leveraging metrics and analytics to track system performance and optimize decision-making.
