• Seeking a skilled and experienced Database Administrator (DBA) to manage enterprise-level database systems. • Work extensively with Amazon Aurora Postgres and DynamoDB, handling operational and developmental aspects. • Oversee routine patching, maintenance, and upgrades for Aurora Postgres and DynamoDB. • Implement security measures for database systems including encryption and access controls. • Monitor and analyze database performance for improvements. • Develop and manage database backup strategies including automated snapshotting and recovery plans. • Collaborate with development teams to ensure proper database connections in microservice architectures. • Automate routine database tasks through scripting and DevOps tools. • Use performance monitoring tools to track and manage database health. • Engage with cross-functional teams to align database solutions with organizational goals.
• Bachelor’s Degree. • 8 years of experience. • Experience as a Database Administrator focusing on Aurora Postgres and DynamoDB in large-scale environments. • Proficiency in database maintenance, patching, security best practices, and backup/recovery strategies. • Strong experience with database tuning, query optimization, and performance monitoring tools. • Solid understanding of microservices architectures connecting databases to distributed systems. • Experience with DevOps practices and automation of database tasks (scripting, CI/CD pipelines). • Knowledge of various database connection protocols and troubleshooting database integration issues. • Familiarity with cloud infrastructure (preferably AWS) and managing databases in a cloud environment. • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a collaborative environment.
