• Freelance writing for a feminist outlet covering political news and progressives • Flexible hours but availability within a 9a–6p U.S. Eastern weekday schedule • Collaboration with the senior news editor on daily political topics and story pitches • Comfortable with breaking news relating to LGBTQ+ community, race, and representation • Ability to drive important discussions with unique analysis and perspectives

Requirements

• Someone who’s proud to be called a feminist • A knack for finding unique, insightful angles on news stories • The ability to write quickly and accurately • Someone eager to learn and incorporate feedback to build their writing skills • Familiarity with WordPress/blogging platforms and social media channels (mostly Facebook and Twitter, but Tumblr, TikTok, Instagram, and more are great, too!) • A multitasker who can consume a large amount of information in a short time
