• Create thought leading research within our Security and Risk Management practice. • Publish original research, speak with clients directly, and present at global events. • Research markets, practices and trends for actionable advice on application security. • Deliver high-quality actionable advice through various media. • Write provocative and pragmatic research that is clear and actionable. • Create and deliver presentations for webinars and Gartner conferences. • Promote Gartner’s industry leadership reputation by handling press inquiries.

Requirements

• Minimum of twelve to fifteen years of experience in a practitioner or product management level working in software engineering with a focus on security, or a security role with a focus on application security. • Subject matter expertise, with demonstrated knowledge of Software Supply Chain security including DevSecOps and secure development practices. • Knowledge of key challenges with cloud native application deployments including Kubernetes and container security as well as experience with container and infrastructure-as-code security scanning. • Ability to collaborate with colleagues that cover adjacent software security areas, including software engineering, cloud and SaaS application protection, and API protection. • Knowledge of threat modeling frameworks and ability to threat model an application design. • Strong business acumen is required for this position. • Articulate and succinct communication skills. • Experience in publishing and doing speaking engagements is an advantage.
