Description

Own and drive business-critical product areas including live video streaming, scorekeeping, fan experiences, and team management throughout our backend services. • Develop and maintain scalable, robust, and efficient backend services. • Lead projects Gameday team projects by collaborating with EM, PM, Design, QA, and other engineers across the company. • Drive changes to our API and SDK to facilitate server/client communication. • Lead architectural decisions to ensure productivity + efficiency as our codebase grows. • Improve existing systems' performance, reliability, scalability, and develop new features. • Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions. • Ensure system security and data privacy compliance. • Participate in code reviews to maintain code quality and share knowledge. • Create and maintain technical documentation for reference and reporting.

Requirements

Experience scaling a codebase to a large number of users and engineers. • Track record of successful projects utilizing Typescript and Node.js or another backend technology. • Experience writing scalable, performant server-side code. • A leader, willing to take ownership for the success of the team. • Outstanding problem-solving skills and ability to communicate solutions clearly. • Strong background of successfully mentoring engineers. • Enjoys building a collaborative atmosphere to create solutions to complex problems.
