•The Aero Controls NPI Lead Engineer will lead the NPI programs and Core Software Development, design, structuring, create technical documentation, validation process, commissioning support and software maintenance for Aero SW standards and Core SW interaction with Package Software with other systems. •This role is critical in driving a team culture of technical system & domain depth, contemporary leadership, on-time quality execution and strong customer-focused mindset. •Empowered project level decision maker •Project ownership from ITO-COD for high risk complex projects as defined by internal risk review •Support ITO/ Proposal efforts Work and Lead in an Agile software methodology. •Support and influence product requirements definition. •Lead globally and be accountable for overall Control System Requirements definition and management. •Drive overall Architecture, top level design, verification, validation and commissioning requirements. •Ensure adequate system function, performance, interface, reliability, maintainability and safety requirements, goals and margins are defined and managed. •Support & influence comprehensive test plans for system verification and validation, new article and customer system Software Acceptance Tests (SwATs), site pre-operation, startup and commissioning. •Coordinate flow down of internal and external customer requirements/ tasks. •Partner with Project Managers/GDLs and End customers to establish Projects Baseline Master Schedule and requirements. •Lead and promote customer discussions/reviews for an improved controls solution and customer experience and expectations. •Drive consistent solutions across all Aero controls Product lines. •Demonstrate System Level thinking. •Collaborate with and maintain close, responsive, and productive working relationships with internal GE groups as well as with external customers. •Responsible for establishing Controls credibility and brand. •Be accountable for Controls cost and schedule targets working with functional managers. •Provide clear communication to the team and the business leaders.

Requirements

•Bachelor degree in Electrical, Mechanical or related Engineering •Proved experience on Controls Field execution •Proved experience on Core Controls Software integration and design •Design experience in Aero GT and combustion systems •Demonstrated ability to meet goals and objectives •Experience in design & application of GE power generation controls •Strong experience in power generation requisition, working with customers, project mgt. or EPCs •Proven oral and written communication and presentation skills to the team and business leaders •Demonstrated ability to independently drive projects to completion. •Demonstrated Technical writing expertise •Demonstrated experience in working successfully in technical leadership of a diverse team.
