• GEICO’s Enterprise Engineering team is seeking an experienced Senior Manager to join our new Legal Technology organization. • You will manage a team to build and maintain enterprise legal solutions that operate in a highly performant, efficient, and complaint way. • You will play a pivotal role in design and development of legal solutions, shape architecture, and drive innovation to meet the evolving business needs within the Legal Department. • Timely delivery of impactful projects that enhance GEICO’s legal service delivery will be a focus. • The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in software development, leading an engineering team, and have legal or similar domain exposure with the skills to collaborate with engineering peers and wide variety of legal stakeholders.

Requirements

• Proven experience in a technology leadership role supporting legal, risk & compliance, regulatory or similar teams • Knowledge of cloud computing technologies, concepts, security best practices, and compliance standards • Outstanding leadership and team management skills with a passion for mentoring and fostering professional growth • Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities, with a keen eye for detail and a passion for driving operational efficiency and automation • Fluency with at least one modern language such as Python, Java, Go and experience with open-source software is a big plus • Fluency with at least two .NET, HTML-5, JavaScript/TypeScript, XML, JSON, RESTful Web Services, and Event Driven Architectures • Experience developing and deploying applications in AWS or similar public cloud environment • Experience with application monitoring tools and performance assessments • Experience in budget management, resource allocation, and vendor collaboration • Experience 6+ years of software architecture and development/coding experience. • 5+ years of experience in leadership of development teams (may be concurrent with development experience above). • 5+ years of development in a large-scale, mission-critical environment • 2+ years of experience with automated testing including Unit, Integration, and End-to-End functional testing
