📋 Description

• This is a remote position. • Genesis Consulting has an immediate opportunity for an experienced Financial Business Analyst with a strong focus on process improvement and data quality management for a Federal client in the Washington DC area. • Join our team and utilize both legacy and modern, open-source technologies to develop, deliver and support applications for our clients while leveraging concepts of Lean, Agile, Kanban and SAFe. • Our clients are some of the world’s leading companies and the candidate will be a part of challenging projects to build and support technical solutions for their needs. • The Financial Business Analyst will be responsible for gathering, analyzing, and documenting business requirements and translating them into functional specifications. • This role requires a detail-oriented professional with strong analytical skills and the ability to work with key stakeholders to achieve project objectives. • The ideal candidate will be instrumental in streamlining processes, managing data workflows, and ensuring the requirements of financial analyses are met.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Data Science, Information Technology, or a related field. • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst, preferably in a financial or governmental setting. • Proven experience in gathering and documenting business requirements and translating them into functional specifications. • Strong understanding of financial data standards and processes, particularly in capital markets. • Proficiency in data analysis tools and methodologies, including SQL, Excel, and relevant data visualization tools. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail. • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects effectively under tight deadlines.
