Description

• Responsible for standing up and administrating two high-performance computing clusters at the Pantex Plant • Will include installing an operating system based on Red Hat Enterprise Linux and necessary networking

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience as a Linux Systems Administrator supporting operations in a classified environment • Extensive experience with Red Hat Linux Server administration • Understanding and using essential tools for handling files, directories, and command-line environments • Operations documentation/runbooks • Operating running systems, including booting into different run levels, identifying processes, and controlling services • Configuring local storage using partitions and logical volumes RAID configuration/maintenance • Creating and configuring file systems and file system attributes, such as permissions, encryption, access control lists, and network file systems • Deploying, configuring, and maintaining systems, including software installation and updating • Managing of users and groups • Managing security and basic firewall configurations • Parallel and multiprocessing programming interfaces • High Performance Computing cluster schedulers and resource managers • Strong scripting skills in Shell and/or Python
