• Jobber exists to help people in small businesses be successful. • We work with small home service businesses, like your local plumbers, painters, and landscapers, to transform the way service is delivered through technology. • Our culture of transparency, inclusivity, collaboration, and innovation has been recognized by Great Place to Work. • We help employees grow professionally; we have a ton of onboarding resources, tutorials, hackathons and buddies to support learnings and provide opportunities to innovate. • Communication Systems team builds systems enabling our customers to send messages (email and SMS) to their customers, all within Jobber. • As a Staff Software Engineer at Jobber, you lead and mentor teams of exceptional engineers while collaborating closely with Product and Design partners to tackle complex technical challenges. • Your expertise spans architecture, design, and hands-on coding, allowing you to have a significant impact on the product and our customers. • A portion of your time is allocated to "Staff Dev Projects".

Requirements

• Demonstrated expertise in developing highly scalable, robust software solutions across multiple layers of the technology stack • Proven leadership experience in guiding teams through complex, high-impact projects and serving as a technical lead • Exceptional proficiency in software design, architecture, and coding, with a focus on maintainability and performance • Outstanding collaboration and communication skills, coupled with the ability to significantly amplify the team’s productivity and effectiveness through mentorship/coaching • Strong self-motivation and resourcefulness, with the capacity to independently identify and leverage necessary resources for project delivery and problem-solving • Ability to navigate ambiguity and prioritize tasks effectively in dynamic, fast-paced environments • Passionate commitment to continuous learning and professional growth, with a track record of staying current with emerging technologies and industry trends • Experience with our development stack: React, React Native, TypeScript, GraphQL API layer, and Ruby on Rails on AWS. • You have worked on complex Communication Systems, with 3rd parties like Twilio and SendGrid
