📋 Description

• Oversee all accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and payroll. • Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP. • Develop and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets. • Manage the annual audit process and liaise with external auditors. • Provide financial analysis and insights to support strategic decision-making. • Manage tax compliance and reporting. • Lead and manage the ongoing implementation, optimization, and maintenance of accounting systems. • Configure and customize system modules to meet evolving business needs. • Develop and implement workflows and processes to improve efficiency. • Participate in future upgrades and enhancements. • Develop and execute a strategic plan for building a high-performing accounting team. • Recruit, hire, onboard, and mentor accounting staff at various levels. • Establish clear roles, responsibilities, and performance expectations. • Foster a positive and collaborative team culture. • Provide ongoing training and development opportunities for team members. • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy. • Develop and maintain accounting policies and procedures. • Stay abreast of changes in accounting regulations and best practices. • Serve as a key member of the leadership team, providing financial guidance and support. • Collaborate with other departments to ensure alignment of financial goals. • Provide financial insights and recommendations to support business growth and profitability.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (Master's preferred) • CPA certification strongly preferred • Minimum of 10 years of progressive accounting experience, with experience in a Controller or similar role • Proven experience implementing and managing accounting systems is essential • Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting requirements • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills • Demonstrated ability to build, lead and develop a team • Strong project management skills • Experience in enterprise software environment • Experience with advanced systems modules • Strong technical accounting knowledge • Experience with SOX compliance • Experience with venture-backed or rapidly growing companies • Experience with equity management
