📋 Description

• Work closely with a team of 8-15 people developing a highly-available Electricity Market Management System (MMS). • Act as a tech lead owning customer communication, requirements, design, and delivery. • Contribute to software implementation, troubleshooting, integration into GE and customer systems. • Engage throughout the full lifecycle of assigned projects influencing design decisions. • Collaborate with Project Managers and Services Consultants to scope changes while adhering to the change management process. • Provide technical support to Wholesale Electricity Market Management (MMS) applications. • Interact with cross-functional teams ensuring best use of GE Digital products and services.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field from an accredited university or college. • Ten (10) to Fifteen (15) years of professional experience in Market Management System (MMS), Energy Management (EMS) or Electric utilities technical lead role. • Minimum of Ten (10) years of professional experience working with or for an Independent System Operator (ISO) organization, Market Participant, or wholesale electricity markets vendor. • Expert on Market Management Systems. • Strong understanding of Unit Commitment and Economic Dispatch. • Hands-on experience on analyzing, troubleshooting, and fixing problems on Market Management Systems • Strong knowledge of Power System applications and/or optimization techniques. • Strong knowledge of Oracle RDBMS desired. • Knowledge of PostgreSQL a plus. • Proven record of Coaching and mentoring others on troubleshooting and problem-solving techniques. • Applies architecture development process & methods at various stages of the project lifecycle. • Proven ability to deploy in on-premise and/or cloud-based environments. • Ability to isolate highly complex scenarios down to actionable items and drive solutions. • Good knowledge on DevOps, GitOps, CI/CD, source control management. • Good knowledge on Git, Maven, Jenkins, Artifactory, and Ansible. • Good knowledge of Kafka a plus. • Familiarity with Kubernetes and containerization is a plus. • Experience using logging and monitoring tools such as Splunk, Elasticsearch, Kibana, Prometheus and Jaeger is a plus. • Understanding of Java programming concepts, awareness of Spring boot, Modern web client (TypeScript or JavaScript), Restful APIs a plus.
