Description

β€’ We are hiring a Solutions/Sales Engineer to join our team! β€’ As a Solutions/Sales Engineer, you will be the technical expert in the sales process and the internal technical voice of prospects. β€’ You'll be able to blend business acumen, technical knowledge, and persuasion together while dealing with novel questions, understanding the pain points of prospects, and creating a compelling solution story on the fly. β€’ The ideal candidate for this role will be located in the United States, anywhere in the Eastern Time Zone. At this time, we will not be considering candidates who are located outside of this area. β€’ The salary provided is the OTE salary in CAD (base + commission).

Requirements

β€’ Proven customer-facing experience in a pre-sales role or equivalent, either as a Solutions Architect, Technical Support or Customer Success Manager (ideally 3+ years of experience); β€’ Proven experience learning new technologies while in a Solutions Architect/Engineer, Technical Support or Customer Success Manager role β€’ Excellent communication skills, with a strong ability to build rapport and credibility as a confident subject matter expect; β€’ Interest in working in a hybrid position: you will have a technical focus to solve problems but must also feel comfortable dealing with customers and coming up with well-crafted answers on the spot; β€’ Eagerness to always learn new things (from a complex product and its intricate use cases to language and industry jargon); β€’ Experience selling to accounts with large average contract values (ACVs) and/or selling software to government entities β€’ Experience working on long and complex sales cycles β€’ Experience working in and/or passion for transit/transportation β€’ Technical experience with GIS, APIs or data science; β€’ Proven to grow in an organization by self-learning new skills and competencies; β€’ Experience working with RFPs
