Description

• Provides strategic leadership and managerial oversight for the Renewables and Other Power Program. • Collaborates with GEM leadership to develop strategy for the department. • Encourages and supports team members in their day-to-day jobs and career development. • Coordinates planning and scheduling of reports and briefings. • Develops relationships with partner organizations and represents GEM in media.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in energy and environmental research. • 2+ years of coordinating/managing/leading people, projects, or teams. • Demonstrated analytical experience in the energy sphere, including experience summarizing and presenting quantitative and qualitative data and managing large data sets. • Familiarity with international environmental campaigns. • Knowledge of the environmental and social impacts of energy and materials production and the global political economy of energy/materials generation and procurement. • Track record of working to advance social and environmental justice. • Fluency in English.
