Description
• Global Fishing Watch is an international nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing ocean governance. • The Request for Proposals will provide research and advice on data protection and vessel tracking policy. • The consultant will provide national and international policy research and best practices. • Deliverables include a report and legal provisions addressing personal data protection concerns. • The maximum budget available for this is $20,000. • Successful applicants will be invited to further discussions with Global Fishing Watch.
Requirements
• Appropriate legal qualifications. • Experience in fisheries management, particularly vessel tracking policy. • Understanding of data protection regulations, and experience assessing potential breaches. • Experience of working in policy development, either within a government or advising externally.
