Description

• Engage with assigned small and independent pet stores to introduce new products from existing brands. Drive new product sell-in to increase points of distribution across assigned territory. • Ensure stores are fully equipped with relevant merchandising materials and consumer sales tools to promote product movement. • Ensure assigned stores are actively participating in company-led marketing initiatives and online training programs. • Invest trade funds strategically to secure new product distribution or secure prime in-store display space. • Leverage sales data to identify stores with slow-moving inventory or latent ordering patterns and work to maintain and improve shelf position in these locations. • Assist the Territory Sales Manager (TSM) and participate in both trade and consumer events as needed to support overall sales efforts.

Requirements

• Ability to interact and motivate partners including Store Managers and store personnel. • Self motivated and self directed with the ability to perform well with limited direction. • Detail orientation and great follow through. • Ability to convey information clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing. • Skilled in active listening and presenting ideas to diverse audiences. • Understanding and meeting customer needs, ensuring satisfaction, and resolving issues professionally and promptly. • Persistent personality and proactive attitude, taking ownership of tasks, and demonstrating resourcefulness in identifying and pursuing opportunities for improvement. • Required Education: Business degree or equivalent experience. • Required Experience: 1-2 years of sales related work experience or recent college graduate in a business related field. • Required Licensure/Certification: NA. • Preferred Education: Bachelor's Degree in related field. • Preferred Experience: 3-4+ years of internal or external sales roles. • Preferred Licensure/Certification: N/A. • Traveling required? If yes, average % of travel per year required: 10%.
