Monitoring β’ Observability β’ Dashboards
β’ This is a full-time remote position in Developer Advocacy at Grafana Labs, focusing on OpenTelemetry. β’ You will create technical content, participate in events, and help users build innovative solutions. β’ The aim of the role is to help users become successful by improving education in the community.
β’ Strong, demonstrated experience with OpenTelemetry, either the collector, semantic standards, OTLP, or SDK development. β’ Substantial technical experience, though this can come from a variety of different disciplines such as testing, software development, system integration, SRE, monitoring, observability, or operations. β’ Effective communicator with lots of patience. You will be interacting with people from all over the world with varying levels of experience with Grafana and communication styles. β’ Collaborative mindset that thrives in a culture of learning and sharing what you learn back to the team and community. β’ A background in a technical field such as a BS in Computer Science, or equivalent experience. β’ Technical writing skills, as shown through any form of past written work. β’ Presentation skills, for example any form of past speaking experience. β’ Willingness to travel 30% of the time. β’ "Nice to have" skills that are not required but that we can help you build: β’ Experience with observability, telemetry, application performance monitoring (APM) or similar. β’ History of participation in open source developer communities, in any form. β’ Experience with Cloud e.g. AWS, Azure, GCP is definitely a big plus. β’ Experience running or organizing communities.
